It's well-suited for adults 18 and older who need help with one or more daily living activities or who benefit from 24-hour supervised support.
Is assisted living more expensive than staying home?

Not necessarily. In-home care typically starts at $20 to $25 per hour and can exceed $500 per day, or $18,000 per month, depending on care requirements. Angel Gardens provides 24/7 staffing, three freshly prepared meals, housekeeping, activities, and a secure environment in a supportive community setting, often at a cost families find substantially more manageable. If your loved one requires assistance with at least two Activities of Daily Living or requires substantial supervision due to cognitive impairment, a significant portion of the monthly cost may qualify as a tax deduction. How does your Memory Care program work?

Our dedicated third floor is designed specifically for residents living with Alzheimer's or dementia. It is fully secured with a magnetic locking system. Staff are alerted immediately if any door is opened without proper authorization. Our caregivers are trained in memory care and work to create structured daily routines that reduce anxiety, support dignity, and encourage meaningful engagement appropriate for each resident's stage of care.

How does your security system work?

All exterior and interior secured doors operate on a magnetic locking system accessible only via coded entry. Anyone leaving the facility without the proper code triggers an immediate staff alert. This provides comprehensive protection for all residents, particularly those in memory care, while allowing family members to visit freely at any time.
Do you offer short-term or respite stays?

Yes. Our respite program is designed for family caregivers who need a planned break, or for families navigating a transition in care or post-hospitalization recovery. Stays can be as brief as a single night or extend up to one month, in a private or semi-private room with all room and board included. Most stays are at the $100 per day rate. Do you have a day care program?

Yes. Our Adult Day Program is designed for adults who are isolated and lonely or can no longer be safely home alone. It includes accommodation, board, coordinated care services, and a full day of enrichment activities. Pricing starts at $40 for 4 hours including a meal, $65 for 9 hours, or $100 for 24 hours including meals. There are no penalties for late pick-up. Services are covered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, long-term care insurance, and private pay.
What activities are included?

Unlike many assisted living facilities, Angel Gardens provides activities seven days a week, all year round. Our programming includes bingo, billiards, live entertainment, religious services, arts and crafts, music, special occasion parties, and supervised outings. Activities are designed to keep residents engaged, stimulated, and socially connected. Our families consistently say makes a real difference in their loved one's well-being.
Are there any tax benefits?

Yes. If your loved one is receiving assistance with at least two Activities of Daily Living or requires substantial supervision because of cognitive impairment, you can potentially deduct almost all of the monthly service fee (room services and care charges) from your taxes. IRS Publication 502 provides the details; we recommend speaking with your tax advisor.
